acrylic and varnish on plastic

Once the length of the painting outweighed its width, I used a lath instead of a frame. Not just to be able to paint on it, but also to shape the flow of the paint by tilting or moving the lath so that the paint would paint itself. To prevent the it from soaking in and thus obstructing the paint's flow, I covered the lath in a plastic sheet. The crucial part of the process was that the end-image emerged only after the plastic sheet had been removed from the lath.
